See how much trial you have left.

Every new Spense account gets 14 days of everything, and the clock starts the first time you open the app — no sign-up form, no card. Because there's no card on file, there's no surprise charge waiting at the end: the countdown is there so you can decide, not so you get billed.

Look for the trial chip on Home

Open the Home tab. The At a glance row carries a chip that reads Trial · 9 days left (with your number, and Trial · 1 day left on the last day). It's there for the whole trial, not just the end — tap it any time to see the plans. Nothing is charged by looking.

The whole trial, one chip. It counts down in days and disappears once you subscribe.
🐟 Don't see it?
Before your first account is added, Home shows a welcome card in place of the At a glance row — it says you're on a free 14-day trial, and the trial is already running from the day you first opened Spense. Add an account (linked or by hand) and the chip appears with the dashboard. Looking on the More tab instead? Its Subscription card follows App Store and Google Play subscriptions, so during the free trial it won't show your countdown — Home is the place to look.

Expect a banner in the last three days

When three days or fewer remain, a banner joins the top of Home: 3 days left in your free trial, then Last day of your free trial, with the date full access ends underneath and a See plans button. That's the only reminder — Spense doesn't send a push notification about the trial. Tap the × and the banner stays away for the rest of the day, then comes back tomorrow until you choose.

🐟 Worth knowing before you pick
Plans are $2.99/month or $24.99/year, billed by Apple or Google. Billing starts the day you subscribe, and any free days you had left don't carry over — so there's no reward for subscribing early. Waiting until the banner, or until day 15, loses you nothing. Still on a guest account? Tap Back up my account on the More tab first, so your budget isn't tied to one phone.
✅
That's the whole countdown.
On day 15, opening Spense shows the plans screen instead of your budget. Choose a plan and you're straight back where you left off; choose nothing and nothing is charged. Your budget and history stay in your account either way. Linked banks stay connected for a short grace period, then Spense disconnects them — so coming back later may mean reconnecting them.
