Fix a category Spense got wrong.

Spense sorts your spending for you. When it guesses wrong, correcting it once teaches it that merchant for good.

Find the transaction

Open the Spending tab and find the transaction that landed in the wrong place. If it's not near the top, the Search box and the filter chips (date, Account, Category, amount) under the header will get you there.

Target landed in Groceries. Half of it was household stuff — but for now we just want the whole thing in the right category.
2

Swipe right and tap the pencil

Drag the row to the right and a pencil button appears on its left edge. Tap it and the Edit Transaction dialog opens with the transaction's details. (Swiping the other way reveals delete — the red trash can.)

3

Pick the category you meant

Tap the Category field, pick the category you meant from the list, and hit Save Changes. The transaction moves, and your budget totals follow a moment later.

Household it is. The checkmark shows your pick — save, and you're done.
🐟 What just happened
Spense saved a rule for that merchant. Every future Target charge goes to Household automatically — you won't be asked twice. This works in Spense Magic and Classic Mode alike.
That's it — it'll stay fixed.
Corrections apply going forward. Past transactions from that merchant keep the category they already had.
